Sub-cusping
Cusping (projecting points formed by curves, especially within the tracery of Gothic architecture) in which the sides of the cusps have smaller cusps in turn.
Sunk chamfer
A deeply recessed surface, formed by cutting into a square edge or corner.
Superimposed orders

Suspension bridge
A bridge with the roadway suspended from cables or chains slung between towers or pylons.
Swag
Ornament in the form of drapery suspended from both ends. Compare festoon.
Swan-neck pediment
A broken pediment with double-curved sides.

System of manufactured units assembled on site. Also called industrial building.
