Pub 9

London, The Green Man

THE GREEN MAN, No. 57 Berwick Street. Finally, a good example of how pubs were kept up to date. Around 1800 the structure was given a plain new front (pubs were not then expected to look different 'all over'). A century or so later a new pub front was made on the ground floor only, almost certainly in connection with a revamped interior.
