Rudge Motorcycles

: Birmingham, Formans Road, Rudge factory

At the same time as his second Lanchester factory, Ball built a simple factory in Formans Road, Tyseley, for Rudge motorcycles in 1915-6. Its gentle brick front relied on the contrast of segmental sash windows on the ground floor and lintelled windows above each with three lights, two vertical and one horizontal above.
